FULL VIEW, OR FEEL MY WRATH!
About the picture Here it is, my entry for the latest ~teentitans contest where you have to make a DoujinShi cover. Lucky we don't have to draw the entire comics!  Anyway, my pairing of choice is obviously Raven and Beast Boy. Why them? Because the title says it all. Two complete opposites character, but yet have so much in common (broken hearts, troubled childhoods, and they do care about each other and Happy Raven in "Nevermore" did admit that she thinks BB is funny) I got the "Sometimes love is... unexpected" idea from DeTroyes at Raven and Beast Boy Shippers United. Because it does make sense. Lovers don't always have to have a bond like Robin/Raven, and they don't always have to laugh at each others joke in order to fall in love. Let's just be honest with the kids; a happy couple doesn't always have to respect each other when they're dating. It's when they always fight/argue each other is what made their love stronger. Raven and Beast Boy always get on each others nerve, but they actually do love each other (though it's clear there's nothing romantic going on between these two on the show, but it doesn't mean we can't dream) As for the category for this comic, it's Romance/Humour. Don't get me wrong, I love angst too. But I don't like an OVER-ANGST story. I've just read a BB/Rae fic recently and it has too much angst, and to be honest... I felt depressed for quite a while. I like it balanced, like BB/Rae (minus/plus=happiness) And this is the first time I drew BB and Rae in casual. I love it! It's such a cute cover. I love how you made it look like an official graphic novel-ish thing. It makes it very tempting to attempt to kind the pages of the comic somewhere in your gallery XD. Raven's expression makes me laugh. It reminds me of her reaction to BB, Cy, and Star telling her she should dress up like Robin cuz they all know she wants to. XDDDD
I agree with you about their relationship. You can't have too much angst. BB helping Rae when she's going through angsty times is understandable, but one of the reasons their relationship works is cuz Beast Boy is able to pull Raven up when she falls by making her smile.
